Short Shifter "Rattle": 
**September 2021 Update: We have added a delrin bushing to the lower ball of all of our latest shifters and added a few other changes which has killed the noise/rattle in 98% of the cars (except NB 6 speed Miata).   See our installation video for adding gear oil instructions to the turret box that the shifter mounts on top of.

Prior to UPDATE September 2021: The feedback that has been received from Street Car owners of our shifters, and owners of more expensive short shifters from other companies, indicates that there is a potential for a rattle in the shifter at certain rpm's.  In a Race or Track Car, it is not a factor as everything is vibrating and loud.  In Street Cars, it seems that a range of  less than 10% of the cars develop a rattle at certain rpm's which from our experimentation is caused by a transmission's worn bearings, an out of balance/worn driveshaft or the drive-train.  The same shifter has been placed in several cars and some cars rattle and some do not; there is not a consistent pattern. Again, about less than 10%.  Everything possible has been done to eliminate the rattle potential within the design of the shifter.  I believe it is important to be honest and straightforward, Thank you - Keith
